Initially started as "Sil Gold Jewellery & Gem Lab" in the year 1992 in India, formally Launched in UAE as Gulf Gem Lab in August 2021.

Tarun Jain a 2nd Generation Jeweller started "Sil Gold Jewellery and Gem Lab" as a small gemological laboratory in South Extension -1, the high street market in the Capital city of New Delhi - INDIA. The purpose of starting Gem lab was to examine and certify the authenticity and quality of Diamonds and Gem stones used in Sil Gold fine Jewellery. This Jewellery was manufactured for German and US markets. This was the best way to establish trust and confidence among the buyers who then sell jewellery further to the retailers. 

Slowly the Sil Gold Fine Jewellery business expanded to Singapore , Spain , and England , so did the scope of Lab for testing and evaluating the gemstones, purchased for the international orders. Back in 1992 the local treatments as dying and heating were very common and international markets were very sensitive to these treatments. Because of high volume of stones and fast production process, the only possible method to ensure quality was an "In house Gem Lab" which was equipped with most advanced equipment of that time.

As business expanded, House of Sil Gold entered in Jewellery and Gemology education in India and Dubai. The Sil Gold Gem Lab - evolved as Gulf Gem Lab and formally started public operations from UAE. Using the latest technology and most advanced equipment , Gulf Gem Lab formally opened the doors for the Young entrepreneurs of its educational wing : World Academy of Design and slowly became a go to destination for customers and local jewellers of Sharjah, Dubai & other Emirates.

Mr. Tarun Jain, the Chief Gemologist is heading the Lab , who is a 2 nd Generation Jeweller with 35 years of experience in gem identification and formal Gemology trainings from GIA - USA & Gubelin Gem Lab Switzerland along with an internationally awarded Business partner, an expert  Gemologist Ms. Mahima Verma , formally trained at GIA - USA and SSEF Switzerland.
